Duties of Foreign Agents

  1. The Foreign Agent will ensure that all au pairs are well informed about the programme’s rules and guidelines (duties, working hours, leisure time, pocket money, costs for language courses and public transport, insurance etc).  This information is according to the information provided in the FAQ-Section on the Au-fair.com Website for Au pairs.

  2. The Foreign Agent will explain to the applicant that being an au-pair – and especially caring for children – is a very responsible job and that the future perspectives for staying in Germany after the au pair time are very limited.

  3. Every au pair has to pass a selective procedure and will be interviewed by a Foreign Agency personally if it is possible or by phone.  It is the Foreign Agents duty to check whether the applicant fulfils the conditions for becoming an au pair in Germany (language skills, age restrictions, passport (if from non-EU country), able to pay for flight).

  4. The Foreign Agent has to take responsibility for completeness of the application documents.

  5. If an au pair does not want to take part in the programme any longer or if modification occurs in the application, the Foreign Agent will inform Au-fair.com Au pair Agency immediately.

  6. The Foreign Agent has to ensure that the au pairs know the exact address and phone number of their host family and the address and phone number of Au-fair.com Au Pair Agency before leaving their country to go to Germany.

  7. The Foreign Agent commit themselves to answer Au-fair.com Pair Agency questions concerning the au pair placement within one working day.

 

Duties of Au-fair.com Au Pair Agency

  1. Au-fair.com Au Pair Agency will inform every family in detail about the au pair programme’s rules and conditions (duties, working hours, leisure time, pocket money, costs for language courses and public transport, insurance etc.)
  2. Au-fair.com Au Pair Agency will ensure that the families submit detailed application with the host family’s address, the au pair’s accommodation, her/his tasks and working hours.
  3. Au-fair.com Au Pair Agency will ensure that every host family obliges themselves: to give to their au pair a room of his/her own and free board | to pay minimum 260 Euro monthly for a maximum of 30 hours per week, max. 6 hours per day, more than half of the working time will be child care compared to household work.
  4. Au-fair.com Au pair Agency will care for the au pairs during their stay with a Au-fair.com Host Family in Germany and will mediate between the au pairs and their host families in case of misunderstandings. In case of insolvable problems with the family, Au-fair.com Pair Agency will seek to find another host family. The au pair is only allowed to change the host family once.
  5. Au-fair.com Au Pair Agency will inform the Foreign Agent if one of their au pairs changes his/her host family.
  6. Au-fair.com Au Pair Agency is at the au pair’s disposal within the office hours by telephone: 0049 (0) 6221 4309595 and mobile telephone outside hours in case of an emergency 0049 (0) 1522 9299455.
  7. Au-fair.com Au Pair Agency commits themselves to answer the Foreign Agents questions concerning the au pair placement with in one working day.
  8. Au-fair.com Au Pair Agency will pay the Foreign Agent: 10 Euro for every full month that an au pair stays with one of our host families if the Agency ID or name was entered in the registration form and has never before been registered with Au-fair.com. The commission will be wired on request if the amount is at least 50 Euro (wiring fees will be substracted from the commission). If the au pair had to pay more than the value of 300 EUR to the foreign agent for the submission of the application to Au-fair.com, the difference between the paid amount and the amount of 300 EUR will be subtracted from the commission to the foreign agent and instead be paid to the au pair directly.
